Yes — completely. The Explorer plan is free forever and gives you access to all free tools in the marketplace, plus 100 credits a month to try paid tools. No credit card required to sign up.
What's the difference between a subscription and credits?

Your plan subscription unlocks platform features (API access, analytics, publishing). Credits are the currency you spend to run paid AI tools — think of them like tokens or Robux. You get a monthly credits allowance with Pro and Builder, or you can buy them separately on the Explorer plan.
How does the 80% revenue share work for builders?

When a user pays for your tool — either via subscription or per-run credits — you receive 80% of the revenue. Socrates keeps 20% to cover hosting, execution costs, payment processing, and platform services. Payouts happen automatically every month via Stripe Connect to your bank account, with a $25 minimum threshold.
What is fork attribution?

When someone remixes (forks) your tool and their forked version earns money, you automatically receive 8% of that revenue upstream — in addition to your own tool's earnings. This creates a passive income stream as your ideas spread across the platform.
Can I cancel or change plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your dashboard. If you cancel, you keep access through the end of your billing period. Unused monthly credits do not roll over, but purchased credit bundles never expire.
Do you offer student or nonprofit discounts?
